How To Shop

You need to create an account in order to buy books through Universal Books Online. You can create an account before looking for books, or you can add books to your basket and then create your account when you proceed to checkout.

After adding a book(s) to your basket, follow these instructions:

Stage 1

Check the book(s) in your basket. To delete a book, click [Remove]. You can also click [Save for later] to keep the book in your basket for purchase at a later date.

If required, adjust the shipping speed by using the drop-down menu. The default setting is Standard Shipping but you can also select Priority Shipping.

If you have a coupon code, enter it in the [coupon] field and click [Update].

Click [Proceed to Checkout].

Stage 2

Select your payment method from the drop-down menu.

If paying by credit card, enter your payment details and billing address.

In the ‘Billing Address’ section, you can select [Use as shipping address] and/or [Make this my preferred shipping address], if those options apply.

If you selected a payment method other than a credit card (e.g. cash on delivery, bank transfer etc.), we will contact you to arrange payment.

Click [Save & Continue].

Stage 3

Confirm or enter your shipping address. If changes are required, click [Edit].

Double-check your payment method, the shipping address, the book(s), and shipping speed(s). If changes are required, click [Edit].

Click [Place Order Now].

A ‘Thank you’ page will confirm that your order has been submitted. Make note of your Sales Order Number, if you wish. We′ll send you a confirmation email within a few minutes.

You will receive another email when we process your order.

The total amount displayed in the Universal Books Online checkout includes the book price and shipping charges only. Any applicable customs duties or brokerage fees are the responsibility of the buyer. If local sales taxes are applicable, the we will contact you directly.
